Wyke Store to Close After 160 Years

It would appear that the owner of Wyke Stores is set to close the shop after competition with a nearby Tesco, which has seen the store sales and turnover fall over recent years. The shop building has been there for about 160 years with the current owner taking over in 2012.

It's very sad for the community as many people will have visited the shop or known of the shop for many years. The shop however is set to close 30th May 2019 at 7pm.
