2020 Update

Well what a year has 2020 been…

You’ve probably noticed that since the start of the year we’ve been a little quiet on Social Media and also on our website. We had lots of plans, news and even events planned to be listed on our website this year and we really wanted to take it to the next level in terms of what we can offer our users and also the businesses that we promote a real platform to help. Obviously COVID and 2020 in general threw us off our stride. We opted to take a step back and remove all events etc. that were on our website. This was mainly down to the lockdowns and everything being forced to close so we didn’t want to advertise/post things that have been cancelled or could no longer be attended. We left it to the businesses/venues to post their own updates and we would share those updates by retweeting them. We have to hand it to our local businesses and venues who have endured hard times due to lockdown and restrictions put in place but nearly all of them adapting and finding a way to deliver their products and services to the community.

With that all being said with the hope that next year will be better and things can begin to return to normal and we will be back posting events, news, helping to promote local businesses and also letting you know about anything else going on in Weymouth and Portland.

We’d like to take a moment to thank the NHS and all key workers that helped us all one way or another through this pandemic.

Last of all we’d like to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We look forward to picking things up in 2021 to what we hope will be a brighter year for us all.
