Weymouth’s town centre Christmas light switch on took place on Saturday 30th November 2019 and this year’s display includes new low energy LED lighting.
An extract from Weymouth Town Council’s website says:
”In line with the declared climate emergency, the Council have used low energy LED lighting throughout the town; any tungsten filament lamps in the festoon necklaces have been replaced with 1-watt LED lamps to drastically reduce consumption.”
The lights look great in the town and even better knowing that they’re low energy LED lights. We hope everyone enjoyed the Christmas lights switch on.
